David Mueller is a former radio DJ who was sued by Taylor Swift for groping her during a meet-and-greet event in 2013. Mueller sued Swift for slander and libel in 2015, claiming that her accusations had damaged his career. However, Swift countersued Mueller for assault and battery, and a jury found in her favor in 2017, awarding her a symbolic $1 in damages. As a result of the trial, Mueller was fired from his job at the radio station.
